Volleyball Recap: Ventura Comes Up Short

Ventura was the 3-0 winner over Royal when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Highlanders on Thursday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Royal scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 25-17.

Ventura's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Ventura will face off against Saugus at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Royal, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Thousand Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
