Huntington and Zane Trace are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2021, but not for long. The Huntsmen will head out on the road to square off against the Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Huntington came up short against Unioto and fell 3-1.

Huntington came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Zane Trace made easy work of Southeastern on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Zane Trace was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-15.

Huntington better focus on containing Reise Grant and Karlee Snavely as the pair were huge in Zane Trace's win. Grant had nine digs and four assists, while Snavely hit 64% for 17 kills and 11 digs, five aces, and one block. Snavely has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 38 times she's played.

Huntington dropped their record down to 12-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Zane Trace, their record now sits at 16-5.

Huntington suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Zane Trace when the teams last played back in September. Can the Huntsmen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
