Basketball Game Preview: Taylor Griffins vs. Roosevelt Bears

The Taylor Griffins will head out to challenge the Roosevelt Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Taylor lost to Woodhaven at home by a 57-40 margin. The Griffins have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Anderson, falling 55-34.

Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Taylor beat Roosevelt 59-49 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Taylor since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
