Basketball Recap: Brandon Victorious

If Holly wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Brandon, they should've done a better job of containing Ella Rizzo. The Brandon Blackhawks came out on top against the Holly Bronchos by a score of 42-32 on Thursday thanks in part to Rizzo, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Brandon's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Williamson, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That's the most boards she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Brandon's win bumped their record up to 2-17. As for Holly, their defeat was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-21.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brandon will welcome New Standard Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Holly, they will square off against Byron at 7:00 p.m. on February 27th.
