Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin). They blew past the Cedar Creek Eagles 22-12 on Monday. The Raptors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.

Rose Harrelson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over 5.1 innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with five stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases.

In other batting news, Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin let Mary Snyder and Esther Harrelson run wild. Snyder went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Harrelson scored two runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave Harrelson a new career-high. Abby Aardema was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cedar Creek only managed eight hits.

Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 11 hits in those games compared to only 2.75 in the others. As for Cedar Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-16.

Coming up, Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin will square off against Crockett at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crockett is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Cedar Creek, they will challenge Richards School for Young Women Leaders at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedar Creek has given up an average of 14.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
