Volleyball Game Preview: West Aurora Blackhawks vs. Glenbard East Rams

The West Aurora Blackhawks will challenge the Glenbard East Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

West Aurora is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Wheaton North just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 2-0 to the Falcons.

West Aurora was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Glenbard East was able to grind out a solid victory over Fenton on Thursday, taking the game 2-0. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Glenbard East took both sets by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12.

West Aurora's defeat dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Glenbard East, their victory bumped their record up to 19-14.

West Aurora beat Glenbard East 2-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Blackhawks repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
