Baseball Recap: Big Sandy Makes It Five in a Row at Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Big Sandy faced off against West Sabine on Thursday. The Big Sandy Wildcats came out on top against the West Sabine Tigers by a score of 6-2. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 6-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Gus Hardy and Daniel Barker did most of the damage at the plate: Hardy scored two runs while going 1-for-1, while Barker got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI. The dominant performance gave Barker a new career-high in RBI.

Big Sandy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .609. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Sabine only posted an OBP of .421.
