Football Recap: Osceola Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rich Hill last Friday, Osceola came back down to earth. The Indians were dealt a 58-22 defeat at the hands of Drexel/Miami on Friday. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to Drexel/Miami from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Osceola lost, don't look at Will Murray. Despite the final result, he rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Murray also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making one tackle (1.0 for loss).

Osceola has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Drexel/Miami, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Osceola is set to square off against their familiar foe Greenfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Drexel/Miami will challenge rival New Heights Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
