Softball Game Preview: Sweet Home Panthers vs. Williamsville East Flames

Sweet Home hasn't had much luck against Williamsville East recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will host the Flames at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Sweet Home is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They came up short against Hamburg, falling 10-4. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Panthers who fell 15-13 when the teams previously met back in May of 2024.

Meanwhile, Williamsville East came up short against Starpoint on Thursday and fell 6-1.

Elise Prelewicz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Sweet Home's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Williamsville East, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-5.
