Baseball Recap: Andrews Takes a Loss

Andrews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hayesville Yellowjackets, falling 8-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Tuesday.

Andrews saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Sutton, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Andrews' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hayesville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3.

Andrews has already played their next contest, an 11-9 victory against Robbinsville on the 18th. As for Hayesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 17-1 win against Hiwassee Dam on the 18th.
