If Hurley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Crane, they should've done a better job of containing Madi Lansdown. The Pirates put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win on Friday with plenty of help from Lansdown, who had 11 digs and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Crane took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-13.
Crane's victory bumped their record up to 9-11-1. As for Hurley, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
Crane wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Jefferson Independent Day on the 4th. As for Hurley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Southwest at 5:30 p.m. on the 13th.
