Softball Recap: Bakersfield Find Success

Bakersfield let Pleasant Hope stack nine runs on them in the third inning on Friday but luckily Bakersfield prevailed anyway. The Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pirates, sneaking past 13-12. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bakersfield now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Pleasant Hope, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Bakersfield has already played their next contest, a 12-11 defeat against Reeds Spring on the 6th. As for Pleasant Hope, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-3 loss against Ash Grove on the 5th.
