Basketball Recap: Rainier's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Rainier entered their matchup against Toledo on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rainier Mountaineers took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Toledo Indians. The Mountaineers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Rainier's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4. As for Toledo, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rainier will host Onalaska at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Toledo, they will square off against Napavine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Napavine's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
