Basketball Game Preview: Castlemont Knights vs. McClymonds Warriors

Castlemont hasn't had much luck against McClymonds recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Castlemont Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the McClymonds Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Castlemont played against Fremont and lost via forfeit.

McClymonds is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Fremont on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. McClymonds lost 81-57 to Fremont. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while the Tigers are ranked 229th).

Castlemont is on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6. As for McClymonds, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-14.
