Baseball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

Eastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Ionia Bulldogs, falling 21-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-2 on Thursday.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 2-23. As for Ionia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern will challenge St. Johns at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ionia, they will take on Alma at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
