Baseball Game Preview: Las Vegas Wildcats vs. Shadow Ridge Mustangs

For the second straight game, Las Vegas will face off against Shadow Ridge. The Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Las Vegas is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Las Vegas' offense. They came up short against Shadow Ridge on Wednesday, falling 8-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Las Vegas got a good showing from ETHAN SHULTZ, who pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits SHULTZ has allowed since back in March.

On the hitting side, Las Vegas saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was RIAN JAIME, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Shadow Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Las Vegas, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.
