Broughton got themselves on the board against Sanderson on Wednesday, but Sanderson never followed suit. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 10-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Capitals this season.

The team relied heavily on Weston Rhem, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Matthew Solomon, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Broughton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.

Broughton's record now sits at 7-5. As for Sanderson, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
