Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Saturday. Tatum walked away with an 8-5 win over Rusk. This was payback for Tatum, who suffered a 4-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Tatum let Jaxen Prince and Grant Adcock run wild. Prince scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Adcock scored three runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kody Hines, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Tatum hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

With the victory, Tatum broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-3. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Rusk, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Tatum will venture away from home to face off against Sabine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tatum is facing Sabine at the right time seeing as Sabine is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Rusk, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Brownsboro at 7:00 p.m.
