Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Hartford Central's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

Hartford Central had won two straight home games and Mckenzie Johnson did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Hartford Central Tanagers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Granville Golden Horde 91-43 thanks in part to Johnson, who shot 7-for-12 from long range and dropped a double-double on 40 points and ten boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hartford Central's points.

Ava Nadeau was another key player, putting up nine points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Hartford Central is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.1 points per game. As for Granville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Hartford Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Warrensburg at 7:00 p.m.
