St. Marys dropped down to 9-7 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 10-0 to the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Flying Dutch's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for DuBois Central Catholic, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9 runs.

For DuBois Central Catholic's part, Rylee Kulbatsky made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Kulbatsky has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lizzy Green, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Virginia Myers, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Coming up, St. Marys will challenge Elk County Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for DuBois Central Catholic, they will face off against Punxsutawney at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
