Volleyball Recap: Dreher's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Dreher had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Richland Northeast Cavaliers. The game marked the Blue Devils' most dominant win of the season.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Dreher took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-6, 25-8.

Leading Dreher to victory were Isabel Smith and Kennedy Ray. Smith had 15 digs and two assists, while Ray hit 85.7% for six kills and 11 digs and three aces. Those 11 digs gave Ray a new career-high. Lily Strickland also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Dreher was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive contests.

The victory got Dreher back to even at 8-8. As for Richland Northeast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
