Softball Recap: Kokomo Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kokomo can now relate to. They lost 11-1 to the Harrison Raiders on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 back in April.

Kokomo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lanaya Buckner, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Kokomo moved to 16-11 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Harrison, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Kokomo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harrison, they will square off against Noblesville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Millers' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
