Basketball Recap: Burns Bulldogs vs. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons
After flying high against Cherryville last Friday, Burns came back down to earth. The Burns Bulldogs took a 54-35 bruising from the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons on Wednesday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Gryphons recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Burns' defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Burns wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-54 victory against Bessemer City on the 14th. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy has also already played their next match, a 65-15 win against East Gaston on the 15th.
