Softball Recap: Keystone Oaks Victorious

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Keystone Oaks had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Mt. Pleasant Vikings a 2-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Golden Eagles have won by exactly two runs.

Not much got past Kennadi Smith, who gave up just four hits to keep Mt. Pleasant off the board. Smith has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Keystone Oaks' victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Stahl, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Keystone Oaks now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Mt. Pleasant, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.

As of now, neither Keystone Oaks nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
