Recap: Hebbronville Longhorns vs. Agua Dulce Longhorns
The Hebbronville Longhorns's game on Saturday was all tied up 9-9 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Agua Dulce by a score of 26-23. Hebbronville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Agua Dulce apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Monday.
Agua Dulce's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Calvez, who scored 9 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Calvez has scored at least 25% of Agua Dulce's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Vinton, who scored 6 points.
Hebbronville now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Agua Dulce, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.
Hebbronville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Odem at 6:15 p.m. on December 15th. Agua Dulce's road trip will continue as they head out to face Zapata at 5:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
