West Oaks Academy won the last time they faced Balboa, and Willie Burnett III did his part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the West Oaks Academy Flame's way against the Balboa Roughriders on Friday as the West Oaks Academy Flame made off with a 97-71 win thanks to Burnett III, who posted 41 points and four steals. The matchup was his ninth in a row with at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Paulo 'Kiffen' Teixeira, who had 16 points and five boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Balboa lost, don't look at Travis Musonda. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points and five rebounds. Jahmarian Forrester was another key player, putting up 15 points and eight boards.

West Oaks Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Balboa, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-21.
