Soccer Game Preview: Horizon vs. Americas

The Horizon Scorpions will square off against the Americas Trail Blazers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

On Wednesday, Horizon didn't have quite enough to beat El Dorado and fell 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Scorpions in their matchups with the Aztecs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Americas, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Bel Air on Wednesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Trail Blazers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Highlanders are ranked 31st).

Americas pushed their record up to 5-3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Horizon, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1.
