Preview: Le Roy Oatkan Knights vs. York Golden Knights
After two games on the road, Le Roy is heading back home. They will take on the York Golden Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Tuesday, Le Roy lost to Warsaw on the road by a decisive 67-49 margin. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Le Roy came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Warsaw is ranked 381st).
The losing side was boosted by Jean Agosto, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Merritt Holly Jr. was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, York pushed their score all the way to 59 last Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Avon.
Le Roy's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4. As for York, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.
Le Roy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against York in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 78-73 victory. Does Le Roy have another victory up their sleeve, or will York turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
