Softball Recap: Legacy Takes a Loss

Legacy extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They came up short against the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets, falling 13-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Longhorns have suffered since March 15, 2025.

As for Palo Verde Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

For Palo Verde Valley's part, the team relied heavily on Yasleen Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Reyes has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Audryna Mora, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Legacy will take on Holbrook at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Palo Verde Valley, they will face off against Doral Academy Red Rock at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
