Volleyball Game Preview: Maranatha Christian Eagles vs. Orange Glen Patriots

The Maranatha Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Orange Glen Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Maranatha Christian has five straight wins, Orange Glen has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Thursday, Maranatha Christian made easy work of High Tech CV and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Maranatha Christian took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Orange Glen didn't have quite enough to beat Escondido on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Orange Glen's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Maranatha Christian, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Maranatha Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Orange Glen in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
