Softball Game Preview: Garden Grove Argonauts vs. Loara Saxons

The Garden Grove Argonauts will face off against the Loara Saxons at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Garden Grove is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Garden Grove's offense. They came up short against Fullerton on Wednesday, falling 11-0. The loss continues a trend for the Argonauts in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Loara beat Estancia 11-7 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Saxons in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Garden Grove now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Loara, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Garden Grove was able to grind out a solid victory over Loara in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, winning 10-5. Will the Argonauts repeat their success, or do the Saxons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
