Volleyball Game Preview: Ganesha Giants vs. Diamond Ranch Panthers

The Ganesha Giants will venture away from home to face off against the Diamond Ranch Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Ganesha can't be to happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Tuesday. They came up short against Ontario Christian, falling 3-0.

While Ganesha was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-10, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Diamond Ranch unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bell Gardens on Thursday.

While Diamond Ranch ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 18-25, 25-19.

Ganesha took their win against Diamond Ranch in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ganesha since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
