Volleyball Recap: Ukiah Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Ukiah duked it out with Cardinal Newman on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Cardinals. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Ukiah was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Cardinal Newman work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-22, 25-19.

Ukiah's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Cardinal Newman, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Ukiah will take on Windsor at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cardinal Newman, they will square off against Analy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight.
