Volleyball Recap: Horizon's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak on the Road + How To Watch

If Horizon was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Millennium on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies fell 3-1 to the Pinnacle Pioneers on Wednesday. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Horizon actually scored more points across those four sets (94-89), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 27-25, 12-25, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Horizon had strong showings from Milania Ottaway, who had ten digs and four aces, and Isabelle (Isa) Mcilroy, who had 17 digs and three assists. Mcilroy is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

Horizon's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2. As for Pinnacle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Horizon has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Arizona College Prep on the 11th. As for Pinnacle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Desert Vista on the 15th.
