Basketball Game Preview: Boerne Greyhounds vs. Wagner Thunderbirds

The Boerne Greyhounds will face off against the Wagner Thunderbirds at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Boerne is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering New Braunfels just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Unicorns, falling 57-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Greyhounds have suffered since December 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, Wagner opened the new year with a less-than-successful 67-58 loss to Alamo Heights.

Boerne's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-7. As for Wagner, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 17-7.
