Baseball Recap: California Victorious

California took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Clayton Valley Charter, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Grizzlies never let the Ugly Eagles get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Grizzlies have posted since April 26, 2024.

Ryken Redondo tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, California saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angelo Sherman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Ethan Rye also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
