Basketball Game Preview: St. Anthony Roman Legion vs. St. Joan Antida/Tenor/Veritas

St. Anthony is 0-3 against St. Joan Antida/Tenor/Veritas since January of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. The St. Anthony Roman Legion will take on St. Joan Antida/Tenor/Veritas at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Anthony is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Hmong Academy 56-13. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, St. Joan Antida/Tenor/Veritas sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-39 win over Augustine Prep on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Joan Antida/Tenor/Veritas.

St. Joan Antida/Tenor/Veritas is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for St. Anthony, their record is now 3-8.

St. Anthony was dealt a bruising 50-10 loss at the hands of St. Joan Antida/Tenor/Veritas when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can St. Anthony avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
