Baseball Recap: South Florence Takes Down Bishop England in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South Florence had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They never let the Bishop England Battling Bishops get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Bruins sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

South Florence got a great performance from Landon Hill as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 6.2 innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave Hill a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Khalon McGee, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

South Florence's win bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Bishop England, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-8.

As of now, neither South Florence nor the Battling Bishops have any future games scheduled.
