Meanwhile, William Campbell had to suffer through a 74-35 loss at the hands of Dan River. The loss continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Gretna pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points over those games. As for William Campbell, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.
