Recap: Northeastern Eagles vs. Holmes Aces
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Northeastern Eagles walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 55-28 victory over Holmes at home. The victory was just business as usual for Northeastern, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Trevaris Jones, who threw for 412 yards and five touchdowns on only 18 passes. Another player making a difference was Paul Sylvester, who picked up 158 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Northeastern has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Holmes, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Northeastern will look to defend their home field on November 17th against Princeton at 7:00 p.m. Princeton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. Holmes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
