Softball Recap: Dallas County Comes Up Short

Dallas County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 21-5 to the Isabella Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 16-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Karrigan Watts was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. Kensley Browder was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Dallas County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Dallas County and Isabella will both be playing Verbena the next time they take the field. Isabella will host Verbena at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Dallas County will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
