Softball Game Preview: Kings Park Kingsmen vs. Islip Buccaneers

The Kings Park Kingsmen are taking a road trip to square off against the Islip Buccaneers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kings Park will be strutting in after a win while Islip will be coming in after a loss.

While Kings Park's victory against Hampton Bays wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Kingsmen narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Baymen 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Kingsmen in their matchups with the Baymen: they've now won four in a row.

Jordana Greeney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Madeleine Cooper was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Islip lost 11-2 to Miller Place on Monday. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Islip's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1. As for Kings Park, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
