Basketball Recap: Wyatt Takes a Loss

Wyatt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. Their2024 ended with a 52-35 loss against the V.R. Eaton Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Chaparrals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1149th, while the Eagles are ranked 142nd).

Wyatt's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for V.R. Eaton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Wyatt will head out to face off against Polytechnic at 12:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for V.R. Eaton, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the V.R. Eaton Eagles take on the Timber Creek Falcons at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
