Basketball Recap: Central Montcalm Takes a Loss

Central Montcalm came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 69-38 loss at the hands of the Fowler Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while the Eagles are ranked 59th).

Central Montcalm's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Fowler, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Montcalm will face off against Tri County Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Montcalm is facing Tri County Area at the right time seeing as Tri County Area is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Fowler, they will take on Lutheran Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
