On Wednesday, Vestavia Hills faced Hewitt-Trussville in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Vestavia Hills Rebels blew past the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies, posting a 62-30 victory. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Vestavia Hills has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 27-2 record this season. As for Hewitt-Trussville, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-14.

Vestavia Hills will head out to take on Hoover at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hoover knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Vestavia Hills likes a good challenge. Hewitt-Trussville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
