Baseball Recap: Pittsburg Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Pittsburg won the last time they faced Kennedy and things went their way on Saturday too. Everything went the Pittsburg Pirates' way against the Kennedy Titans as the Pittsburg Pirates made off with an 11-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won three matches by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Ty Thompson was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Santino Valle was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Pittsburg pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pittsburg will face off against Mt. Eden at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mt. Eden has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.33 runs per game on average), something Pittsburg will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Kennedy, they will host Clayton Valley Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kennedy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
