Big Valley Christian (7-0) and Brookside Christian (3-4) take on one another this Friday at 7:00 PM on Big Valley Christian's home turf. Both teams are strolling into their matchup after big wins in their previous games.
Big Valley Christian can now show off five landslide victories after its game last week. It dominated last week, steamrollering Delta Charter 63 - 0. Sophomore Caleb Van donselaar deserves a lot of the credit as he ran for 83 yards and also punched in four touchdowns. Van donselaar's longest score was a 35-yard scramble in the second quarter.
Meanwhile, Brookside Christian is still under.500 but has been making strides to fix that in its last two games. It picked up a decisive 'W' against Sierra Ridge Academy/ROP last week, finishing up at 40 - 0. Senior Reuben Lee was especially active in the win, finding the end zone an impressive five times.
The last time they met, Brookside Christian was the decided 68 - 14 victor. Big Valley Christian couldn't get the same offensive movement going as Brookside Christian (496 yards compared to 219 yards), so it will surely be hoping to change that this time around.
