Basketball Recap: Fair Play Takes a Loss

Fair Play lost against Wheatland back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fair Play Hornets were beaten by the Wheatland Mules 76-25. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 576th, while the Mules are ranked 122nd).

Fair Play has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-16-1 record this season. As for Wheatland, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Fair Play will welcome Macks Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheatland, they will head out on the road to square off against Walnut Grove at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
