After each having a week off, the Warren County Screaming Devils and the Mitchell County Eagles will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mitchell County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Warren County, who comes in off a win.

Warren County took a loss when they played away from home back in October, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Washington-Wilkes a 6-0 shutout.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Mitchell County and Seminole County meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again last Friday. The Eagles took a 36-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

Warren County will need to focus on slowing down Marcus Vicks, one of several Mitchell County players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 95 yards and one score on only nine carries, and also picked up 38 receiving yards. Jonathan Isom was another key player, picking up 75 receiving yards and one TD.

Warren County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.8 points on average over those games. As for Mitchell County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
