Basketball Recap: Foley Takes a Loss

If Foley was riding high fresh off their 82-51 takedown of Osakis last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Foley Falcons lost 73-52 to the Albany Huskies on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Falcons came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Huskies are ranked 292nd).

Foley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Albany, they moved to 1-6 with that victory, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Foley and Paynesville will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Albany and Goodhue will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th.
